UNC Almost Unanimoous #1 In Preseason Basketball Poll

The North Carolina Tar Heels are loaded this year, returning all five of their starters. North Carolina was ousted out of last years tournament, by Kentucky in the regional finals. North Carolina broke a tie with their tobacco road rival and tied UCLA, for the most preseason number one. North Carolina is now a top with UCLA, who was the dominant program in the John Wooden days.

North Carolina was almost a unanimous number one with sixty-two votes, others receiving votes are Ohio State with one vote, and defending national champion connecticut with two votes.
